Advanced Pistol Defense (2-Day)

What is Advanced Pistol Defense?

Advanced Pistol Defense is a 2-day defensive pistol class for the person who wants to know how to defend themselves using a pistol. Personal protection is the focus of this class and assumes you’re a “one-man team”. You’re attacked by multiple threats. You don’t have any team members. It’s up to you. You must move and shoot to defend yourself against multiple threats.

On Day 1, you’ll be reintroduced to grip, stance, and sight alignment techniques that give you the power to shoot accurately without relying on your sights. You’ll draw from your holster, shoot fast, reload, move, and engage multiple threats.

During Day 2, we raise the bar and hold you to much higher overall performance standards. Personal protection is about more than physical protection. It’s also about legal liability protection as well. Your success on Day 2 will be determined by your ability to be consistently accurate, handle your pistol efficiently, and move with a sense of urgency.

These are the same skills we teach Law Enforcement. By the end of this class, you will know which skills you need to improve and how to do so. You will also identify flaws and shortcomings of your gear and firearm.

Upon completion of "Advanced Pistol Defense", participants will possess a higher level of pistol mastery, including improved accuracy, speed, and tactical decision-making. Graduates will be more prepared to handle complex and high-pressure situations effectively, whether in a professional context or personal defense scenario.

You Will Learn:

  • Advanced Shooting Techniques with an emphasis on speed, accuracy, and precision under pressure. This includes rapid target acquisition, multiple target engagement, and shooting on the move.
  • How to Handle Stress: Designed to simulate real-world scenarios, this helps you learn to perform under stress by engaging in drills that mimic high-stress, rapidly evolving situations.

Note: This course is physically demanding and requires a good fitness level. Safety is paramount, and all participants are expected to adhere strictly to safety protocols and instructor guidance.

This was a true “Advanced” Pistol Defense course. All the students in the class were very good shooters and thereby allowed the class drills to progress quickly. Benchmarks were recorded at the beginning of the class with cold start shooting scores and were measured at the end of the day with the same drills being shot. Significant improvements were seen across the board. The instructors provided feedback on making minor adjustments to grip, stance, and target transition which in turn increased accuracy and speed of all students. Herfel, Jose, Carlos, and Will did an excellent job of running the class, providing feedback and pushing each of us. Great class! Highly recommend for those looking to up their speed, accuracy and overall shooting performance.

This is third class I’ve taken with Valortec as a female who prior to these classes had never done so. I cannot recommend Valortec enough as it truly is an amazing time. This advanced pistol class was a bit of a challenge but not too much. The instructors are always respectful, willing to critique, and be of assistance. I always feel safe in these classes as the Valortec team accepts nothing less. I learn so, so much and cannot thank them enough. Money well worth the investment. I cannot wait for the next class! #HoldTheLine #FrontlineForFreedom🇺🇸
